The most valuable thing you can contribute to this project is yourself. This is a community space, and your time & work are valuable assets which keep the project running & evolving. Your help is greatly welcomed & appreciated.

There are many occasions where we need more man power, people with special skills, gardeners, plumbers, electricians, curators, etc. Amongst the community is a vast array of specialised skills and we would love you to come and share them to further the project.

The 491 Gallery building & Community Garden are large spaces that need daily attention to keep them maintained & we welcome your help on this. If you have time to spare let us know & we'll see what job we can get done together. It is assistance in such things as recycling, maintenance & repairs which keep everything running smoothly & the space clear & welcoming.

What we would love is your input, your ideas, your creativity, your skills, your time & your know-how.

Gardening Volunteers & Supplies Needed.

The 491 Gallery community gardening project needs daily attention. We welcome you green fingered ones to come & get involved! Whether you've not got a garden of your own, or you'd like to contribute to the 491 Gallery in some way or you'd just like to come & hang out in the community garden & potter about there's lots you can do.

The garden needs watering, this is a large & daily undertaking when there's a lot of sunshine to ensure the plants well being.

Weeding & cutting back overgrown plants, tidying up, keeping the pond's clear of too much algae etc.

We also welcome your ideas & creativity in the garden. If you've a landscaping, habitat building or plant growing idea we'd love to hear it.

We've got some big ideas for the garden & what we really need is the man power to put them into action, so if you've some time to spare please do let us know and we'll put it to good use.

Drivers & Vans Needed.

There are continually jobs that need doing & donations being made that require the use of a van. We regularly need to do large recycling runs, runs to the local dump & recycling plant, trips to pick up materials etc.

If you are a driver & have a vehicle whether it's large or small & are able to give us some of your time please get in touch. help@491gallery.com

Building & Regeneration Skills Needed.

Calling all tradesmen, builders & innovative thinkers ...
Regeneration is one of the corner stones of what we're here & about.

And there are loads of opportunities to regenerate & improve the 491 Gallery both inside & out.
Whether you're a builder, carpenter, electrician or have some other skill that we could put to good use we welcome you.
There are walls to be constructed in the garden, building work inside the 491 Gallery to improve it's structure & better utilise the space.

There is also building maintenance work that is required so if you've got a craft & some spare time we want to hear from you.

There are all sorts of construction & maintenance jobs that are required, & we're happy to hear your ideas & suggestions too, so if you would like to contribute some time & your skills let us know.
